DAY3 Tuesday 21st April 2009 -morning walk, GEMS, instant noodle dinner

Having the opportunity to have free time for ourselves on the Tuesday morning, we decided to go for a walk after breakfast. It was relatively cold and the strong wind was blowing at us real hard. We had to cuddle ourselves right in the middle of the road to block away the wind. Despite the cold and strong wind, the scenery was truly very beautiful.

We had our General Elective Module in the afternoon. It is a module we had to do in Singapore Polytechnic, an extra module to learn about new skills. So, we will learn about Chinese culture here in Dalian. The lecturer is from Dalian and he teaches English here. His name is Amant, Lu Xiao Cheng. He is a very cheerful person who smiles a lot. We got to know more about from him. Dalian lies on the most southernmost tip of Liaoning province, within yellow sea to the east and west. It has the second largest international commercial and harbor. Dalian’s population is 6 million, labeled as the modern and young city.

After GEMS, we went back to our hostel and rest. We decided to cook instant noodles for the first time in the pantry. The noodles were boiling hot and spicy. Yum yum!!
