DAY14 Saturday 2nd May 2009

Guess what? We went shopping today!! Whoo! I know, I should be at my hostel doing assignments BUT shopping is a great temptation, especially being overseas in Dalian, China.

So, a group of us were brought to Dalian Railway Station with the help of Alice’s buddy, Wu Yan and also Wang Lan’s buddy, Shu Nan. We took a half an hour bus ride there. This place is quite similar to Singapore’s Bugis Street; they sell lots of things, from clothes to shoes to accessories and more. We were crazily looking around and I felt dizzy as usual, from shopping and looking at too many things at the same time.

The prices there were relatively alright. Some were quite similar to Singapore’s prices but some were quite low and we can bargain and slash prices with them too. However, once you start bargaining with them, you must purchase it.

Bought this bracelet for my mummy=D For myselfJonathan, being the only guy in our group had to roam around with us girls, who were shopping around like crazy. Oh well, he have to live with it. Anyways, I guess he had fun trying to spot the funny texts on shirts or bags or anything that has text on it. Fun right, Jonathan? ^.^ LOL OKAY? CUTE? SO OKAY RIGHT? =P

When we returned back to school, we went to take a look at Wu Yan’s hostel. Her hostel is catered to 4 students. It is considered the better ones already because there are others which caters 8 students to a room. I felt very pampered/fortunate to be able to have all the luxury we are having now, compared to them. Are Singapore kids too pampered? Are we able to live in this kind of conditions too?

[This is an extra information I want to write in my blog, a very funny and ‘memorable’ one though]

We were walking back to DPU when this happened. I got off the bus, walking together with the group when Anglia came over and asked me whether we should buy more fruits. I replied then we went on walking for awhile. She drifted away for awhile, then came back to walk quite near beside me. Then suddenly, Anglia spoke “ Where’s Jamie huh?” I was STUNNED and stared at her. The funny thing is that Anglia even turn her head over to my side and asked ‘where’s Jamie?” FUNNY RIGHT! I seriously was shocked and was at loss of words when she said that. Everyone laughed out loud because they saw I was just right beside her and went ‘ANGLIA?? Jamie is just beside you!’ I could not stop laughing when writing this.
